The only thing routine about selling homes for us is our standard operating systems and our level of accuracy. Along with strong leadership and direction, you will have a beautiful model home or design studio to sell from. Responsibilities
- Handle customer inquiries

Architectural CAD Drafter - Statesville, NC

Job Description:
Architectural CAD Drafter

Department: Drafting
Reports to: Director of Construction Services

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented architectural drafter to add to our team. Provide accurate and timely construction drawings for a production oriented custom home builder. Draft new and custom homes using our back-office drafting software to our drafting standards. Adhere to our internal drafting schedule and meet or exceed weekly and monthly goals.

Required Skills:
Candidate must have relevant work experience in the Architectural Drafting field with emphasis on Residential Drafting and Estimating. Must be proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and other drafting software; SoftPlan experience is a plus. Candidates must be detail oriented, have good math skills, good computer skills and experience with the Microsoft product suite.
- Associate or bachelors degree in architecture, drafting or 2+ years of relevant experience preferred (entry-level welcome to apply).
- Prior residential drafting experience is desired. (SoftPlan, AutoCAD, Revit, etc.)
- You should have a good understanding of how a house is built and have basic knowledge of construction materials and methods.
- Positive and professional demeanor.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed architectural drawings and construction documents
- Translate conceptual designs into accurate plans using CAD or BIM software (SoftPlan, AutoCAD, Revit, etc.)
- Maintain drawing standards and organization.
- Drafting plans to contract and ability to read and understand contract documents.
- Drafting base plans and maintaining a base house library.
- Drafting standard options and maintaining standard options.
- Our estimating is a function of our drafting program so all candidates will need to have basic to advanced drafting skills using a CADD based program and be willing to learn estimating as needed.

Job Description:
Construction Superintendent – Residential Homebuilding
Department: Production
Reports to: Production Manager

Position Overview:
Sedgewick Homes, a leading on-your-lot custom home builder, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Superintendent to join our team. As the key field representative for our company, the Superintendent is responsible for organizing and coordinating the complex aspects of residential construction, directing subcontractors, managing materials, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
Pre-Construction:
- Conduct pre-lot inspections and lead pre-construction meetings
- Complete EPO reviews, prepare schedules, and develop job maps
- Review construction details from sales team to ensure alignment with customer expectations
During Construction:
- Coordinate and schedule subcontractors and material suppliers
- Ensure timely delivery of materials and arrival of crews
- Monitor construction activities to ensure safety, quality, and cost control
- Review and authorize vendor/subcontractor invoices and allowance items
- Maintain ongoing communication with customers to ensure satisfaction
- Conduct final walk-throughs and ensure homes are 100% complete at closing
- Lead homeowner orientation and provide a smooth handoff
Additional Responsibilities:
- Recruit, hire, and train subcontractors and support staff
- Establish and enforce safety protocols
- Serve as liaison between contractors, suppliers, and internal teams
- Maintain company equipment, including vehicles, hand tools, and power tools
- Provide feedback to management on cost-saving opportunities
- Assist with model home maintenance and site presentation
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in residential construction
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
- Strong math, computer, and Microsoft Office skills
- Understanding of basic subcontractor methods and materials
- Strong organizational and project management skills
